We love your pet as much as you do and we want his or her next grooming experience to be as stress-free as possible, so we don't use scary metal cages, metal tubs or cage dryers. And, we don't make you wait all day to see your pet's fabulous new do!
Because your pet has an appointment, your pet's visit with us is brief, but comfortable in their own canine condo until you are reunited. We use PetCot beds and pet safe cleaning products to ensure the utmost cleanliness throughout our spa. Ask for a tour when you come to visit us!
@ our doghouse, we use tearless, hypoallergenic, chemical-free shampoos and conditioners. Our 'pawdicure' service includes grinding of the nails, trimming of the feet and fur between the pads and a fabulous paw conditioner, and we offer your choice of paw polish for a small fee. We also offer nail trims, which do not require an appointment, but we do suggest you call us first to ensure groomer availability. We offer three packages for teeth cleaning: a quickie brush, Sonic cleaning, and Kissable--we brush here and you take the products home.
When it's time for a bath, your dog will enjoy our New Breed bathtubs. Larger dogs can walk right in and smaller pooches can perch above the tub walls to help them feel more secure during bath time.
Why "by appointment" only?
We don't believe in loading up dogs in the morning and letting them languish all day away from home. Just like a people salon, your pet's appointment ensures that your dog is groomed on schedule and returned to you when promised. Generally, this is within two hours of drop-off. Pet parents tell us that this is one of the reasons they return time and again for grooming in our salon. Many grooming businesses charge extra for this "straight through" service, but we believe it should be the rule--not the exception--that your pet is serviced as quickly as possible so that he or she can return home without delay.
Appointment Cancellation & Wait List
Because we're by appointment we have fewer appointments available. We do appreciate the courtesy of a 24-hour cancellation notice so that we can rebook the appointment for another customer. When you call for a reservation, please ask to be placed on the wait list if you'd like to "move up" in the schedule. Typically, we are two weeks out for booking. Our early morning and Saturday appointments fill up quickly.
What do I need to bring to my first appointment?
We require a valid rabies vaccination for both cats and dogs. Please bring the shot record from your veterinarian for your first appointment. The "rabies tag" is insufficient as it only notes a year--not the month and year of expiration.
What is your pick-up policy?
Tuesday - Friday - 60 minutes and Saturday - 30 minutes from the time you're notified that your pet is ready to go home. Generally, we try to give you a 15-minute "heads up" before your pet will be ready for pick-up. We understand that things happen to delay pick-up. We live here, too. Traffic is a nightmare all over our area. When we call you, please let us know if you're experiencing any unusual delays and we'll do our best to work with you.
Do you board dogs or dog sit?
We offer pet sitting for up to two hours on a pay-by-the-hour basis provided your pet is well behaved (e.g., gets along with other dogs in the same room, is not anxious or overly verbal, etc.). This service is available to our grooming clients and the general public.
We know that you're busy and our pet sitting can be combined with your grooming appointment provided you request the service as early as you know you need it. There are times, however, when we cannot offer pet sitting, which includes Saturdays and when we are tending to our special needs dogs. We do not board dogs, but invite you to check out our in-store Community Bulletin Board for pet care providers.
